Quan Yin’s Birth & Metta Day of Practice daylong

Loading Events

This daylong retreat will begin at 10 am, but attendees are encouraged to come early and attend the weekly temple services in the temple, as this is also a Buddhist holiday. We will be celebrating the birth of the bodhisattva Quan Yin.

The remainder of the day will be spent learning and practicing Metta, also known as lovingkindness. Metta practice is a concentration practice through which we cultivate our capacity for compassion and well-wishing for all beings.

New to Metta? Here is a wonderful article explaining the practice and why we do it.
